About the role
Hope Spring Community Humanitarian Initiative is a Nigerian NGO registered with the CAC and the Nigerian partner of Hope Spring Water, a UK-registered charity focused on WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene). The organization seeks an M&E Officer to lead monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning activities across humanitarian and development programmes in Borno.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement MEAL plans, logical frameworks, IPTTs, and data collection tools.
- Coordinate routine quantitative and qualitative data collection using tools such as Kobo-Toolbox, ODK, and Comm-Care.
- Conduct field monitoring visits, spot checks, and data verification against indicators and targets.
- Maintain databases, clean and validate data, and update trackers.
- Support or lead baseline, midline, endline assessments, PDM, and other evaluations.
- Establish and manage Community Feedback and Response Mechanisms (CFRM/CFM).
- Collect, document, analyze, and respond to feedback and complaints confidentially.
- Facilitate learning sessions, after-action reviews, and knowledge-sharing events.
- Prepare monitoring reports, donor reports, and dashboards using Power BI or Excel.
- Train and mentor staff, partners, and data collectors on MEAL tools and data quality.
- Support proposal development with MEAL inputs including indicators, log-frames, and budgets.
