About the role
Moniepoint is a financial technology company digitising Africa's real economy by building a financial ecosystem for businesses, providing payment, banking, credit and business management tools. As a Senior User Experience Designer, you will execute high-quality designs for financial products, ensuring they are intuitive, accessible, and effective. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior designers, and champion user-centred design. This role requires a strategic mindset, deep UX/UI expertise, and the ability to translate complex financial concepts into seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities
- Define and execute design strategies that align with business objectives and user needs.
- Lead the end-to-end design process, from discovery and research to wireframing, prototyping, and final UI execution.
- Conduct advanced user research, usability testing, and A/B experiments to validate and refine design solutions.
- Partner closely with product managers and engineers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
- Design scalable UI components and contribute to the evolving design system.
- Advocate for accessibility (A11y) and inclusive design principles.
- Create and refine micro-interactions and motion elements to improve user engagement and usability.
- Use data-driven insights to continuously improve the user experience and optimise for business impact.
- Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Stay ahead of fintech trends and best practices to drive product innovation.
