The Senior Backend Engineer will build and operate distributed C# and .NET microservices on Azure within an event-driven architecture at significant scale, owning services end-to-end from design through production.

Responsibilities
- Build and operate distributed C# and .NET microservices on Azure within an event-driven architecture at scale.
- Own services end-to-end — from idea through implementation, deployment, production operation, and iteration.
- Design for idempotency, retries, out-of-order events, and failure modes; understand how services behave in production.
- Use observability tooling (Grafana, Azure Application Insights, logs, traces, metrics) to understand production behaviour.
- Participate in on-call/production ownership, using incidents to improve platform resilience.
- Apply AI tools (e.g., Claude) throughout the engineering workflow — design exploration, code generation and review, test writing, incident investigation, and technical communication.
- Collaborate effectively in distributed teams across time zones and maintain a continuous learning mindset.
