About the role
Our client, a financial institution in the banking sector, is seeking an experienced and proactive IT Officer to oversee the day-to-day management of IT infrastructure, Core Banking Application (BankOne), digital banking platforms, and end-user support. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical expertise in banking technology environments and hands-on experience supporting BankOne Core Banking Application (CBA), digital banking channels, and enterprise IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure maximum system availability, data security, regulatory compliance, and seamless technology support across the organization.

Responsibilities
- Core Banking System Administration: Provide day-to-day support for the BankOne Core Banking Application (CBA); monitor system performance, availability, and uptime; manage user access, roles, permissions, and security controls; support product configuration, parameter updates, and system enhancements; liaise with BankOne vendors for system upgrades, issue resolution, and maintenance; perform routine system health checks and preventive maintenance.
- Digital Banking Support: Support digital banking platforms including Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, USSD, POS, and payment channels; monitor transaction processing and resolve service disruptions promptly; collaborate with third-party technology partners on system integrations; ensure optimal performance of digital banking services; troubleshoot customer-facing digital platform issues.
- IT Infrastructure Management: Maintain servers, computers, network infrastructure, routers, switches, and wireless connectivity; monitor network performance and system availability; ensure business continuity through regular backups and disaster recovery procedures; install, configure, and maintain hardware and software solutions; manage antivirus solutions, firewalls, and endpoint security.
- IT Support & Helpdesk: Provide first- and second-level technical support to users; resolve hardware, software, printer, email, and connectivity issues; maintain the IT helpdesk and ensure timely resolution of support requests; conduct system installations, upgrades, and user onboarding.
- Information Security & Compliance: Ensure compliance with IT security policies and regulatory requirements; monitor cybersecurity threats and implement preventive measures; maintain data confidentiality, integrity, and availability; support internal and external IT audits; ensure compliance with CBN and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Vendor & System Management: Coordinate with software vendors and service providers; monitor vendor performance against agreed SLAs; manage software licensing and maintenance contracts; evaluate and recommend new technology solutions.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare weekly and monthly IT performance reports; maintain IT asset registers and documentation; document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides; report critical incidents and recommend corrective actions.
