Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain backup and recovery mechanisms for backend services, databases, and storage systems that power the Barqly platform.
- Develop and optimize backup scripts and services.
- Monitor backup jobs, validate restore procedures, and ensure data integrity and availability.
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers, DevOps, and security teams to define retention policies, disaster recovery strategies, and performance standards.
- Diagnose production issues related to data resilience.
- Improve observability and alerting around backups.
- Contribute to documentation and runbooks for incident response.
