About the role
Machine and Equipment Corporation Africa Limited (MECA) is an Engineering, Operations and Technical Asset Management Corporation. The TID Intern will support the Technology and Innovation Department in day-to-day execution of technology, digital, creative, and innovation-related activities across the organisation. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with an interest in technology and digital innovation, plus practical skills in graphic design and social media management.

Responsibilities
- Provide basic technical and digital support to staff, including troubleshooting common hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Assist with the setup, maintenance, and organisation of computers, software applications, and other digital tools.
- Support the TID team in identifying and implementing technology solutions that improve business processes.
- Assist in researching emerging technologies, digital tools, and innovative solutions relevant to the organisation.
- Create graphics, presentations, flyers, banners, and other visual materials for internal and external communication.
- Support the management of the organisation's social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, posting, and basic engagement.
- Assist in developing and maintaining a social media content calendar.
- Monitor social media trends and recommend relevant content ideas and digital engagement opportunities.
- Assist with photography, video editing, and other digital content production where required.
- Support the development and maintenance of digital records, databases, and other technology-related documentation.
- Assist with website and other digital platform updates where applicable.
- Perform other technology, innovation, digital media, and administrative duties as assigned by the TID team.
