About the role
FairMoney is a digital platform in Nigeria that allows you access instant loans in a few minutes through our android app. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build the core systems everything else depends on - identity verification, KYC, authentication, payments, transactions, and mobile app flows.

Responsibilities
- Lead complex technical projects end-to-end—from system design through implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Build and maintain reliable distributed systems backing payments, ledgers, and mobile app APIs for millions of customers across multiple markets.
- Work closely with Product, Risk, and Compliance teams to turn regulations into simple, secure software.
- Integrate AI coding agents (like Claude Code) into daily workflow to increase throughput and improve how quickly and safely we ship.
- Contribute to architecture, engineering standards, and code reviews while mentoring other engineers.
