About the role
Job Overview: As a Senior Server Infrastructure Manager, he/she would be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of an organization’s server infrastructure. This role involves working with hardware, software, and network components to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of servers and general network systems. Key Responsibilities: Server Design and Implementation: Design, plan, and implement server infrastructure solutions based on business requirements. Install, configure, and deploy physical and virtual servers, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization. Server Administration: Perform routine system administration tasks, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls on server systems. Hardware and Software Management: Procure, install, and maintain server hardware components, including processors, memory, storage, and peripherals. Manage server operating systems, ensuring they are up to date with patches and security updates

- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor server performance and proactively address issues to ensure optimal system functionality. Implement performance tuning and optimization strategies for servers and associated applications.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for server systems. Conduct regular testing of backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and system availability.
- Security Management: Implement and enforce IT & OT security measures to protect server infrastructure against unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and cyber threats. Conduct regular security audits and implement best practices for server security.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network administrators, system architects, and application developers. Communicate effectively with team members and management to provide updates on server infrastructure projects and issues.
