About the role
The Security Team Lead will be responsible for strategic leadership and oversight of the security team. The job role involves assessing risks, designing and implementing security solutions to protect client IT systems, networks, and data against cyber threats. It also involves putting up measures to optimize Security Operations Center (SOC) functions, monitoring threats, managing security tools and responding to incidents.

Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and train security staff, including performance reviews and skill gap identification
- Lead initiatives to identify clients security needs, conduct risks and vulnerability assessments, and proffer solutions to address the needs or identified gaps
- Support the sales team in creating technical content for RFPs, RFQs, and proposals for security solutions.
- Conduct technical presentations, product demos, proof of concepts (PoCs), and workshops to highlight the value of security solutions to potential clients
- Lead security-related projects from planning to deployment, ensuring alignment with business needs, timelines, and budgets
- Develop and implement security playbooks, leveraging AI, to automate detection, containment, eradication, and recover from cybersecurity incidents
- Carry out advanced implementations with Next Generation firewalls, including Intrusion prevention, anti-malware, content filtering, Application control, API security, VPN, Secure SD-WAN and ZTNA.
- Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of security platforms like: identity & Access Management, Endpoint security (EDR, XDR and MDR), Incident management, Data leakage prevention and Application security, Security Monitoring and Analytics solutions (SIEM), Cloud infrastructure security, Vulnerability management and Threat assessment
