About the role

The Lead Auditor, Data & Analytics role is a strategic hybrid audit and data engineering position within the Group Internal Audit Function, building the technical foundation for an AI-native internal audit capability focused on continuous monitoring, automation, and data-driven assurance for payments and banking operations.

Responsibilities
- Design and deliver the data layer for continuous assurance, securing read-only access to production data with Engineering and Data teams
- Build and operate AI-powered monitoring agents across settlements, reconciliations, revenue assurance, API transaction integrity, vendor spend, and privileged access
- Build and maintain the live Assurance Dashboard covering top risks, revenue leakage, critical findings, remediation status, fraud trends, control failures, and financial exposure
- Assess data quality, completeness, and lineage; agree data ownership with business and technology teams
- Maintain model and agent inventory with documented logic, testing results, and accuracy/false-positive rates; ensure AI governance and responsible-AI compliance
- Ensure data protection, privacy, and residency requirements are built into every pipeline and agent
- Baseline and track outcome KPIs: revenue leakage identified, cost eliminated, losses prevented, manual controls automated, exposure reduced
- Convert findings into quantified business value and report progress weekly to Head of Internal Audit and management
- Translate analytics results into clear exceptions for auditors and actionable insights for management
- Partner with Engineering, Data, Finance, Treasury, Compliance, Risk, Product, and IT while preserving Audit independence
- Coach the audit team in analytics and build the function's data and AI capability
