About the role
Moniepoint Inc. is a financial technology company digitising Africa's real economy by building a financial ecosystem for businesses, providing payment, banking, credit and business management tools. The Hardware Engineer (Repair Centre) is the technical authority embedded within a repair centre, bridging hands-on repair operations and engineering-level quality governance to ensure repaired terminals are fit for redeployment and quality failures are root-caused and eliminated.

Responsibilities
- Design electronic hardware circuits and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Design printed circuit board (PCB) layout as specified.
- Create, maintain and update engineering related aspects (e.g. parts, bill of materials) of a design or product.
- Develop processes and procedures to support training technician competency to repair with specified standards, guidelines and technical requirements.
- Create, maintain and update repair procedures.
- Conduct testing of products and tools; recommend modifications and corrections to design deficiencies through evaluation of operational capability.
- Research, plan, analyze and support hardware design and modifications to determine feasibility of design or application.
- Research and analyze specifications and manuals of hardware products.
- Maintain detailed records of repair process, repair results and issues identified.
- Collaborate closely with repair technicians, hardware engineers and relevant teams.
- Identify areas for improvement to enhance overall repair process, quality and efficiency.
- Perform other duties as delegated by Line Manager.
