About the role
Reliable Steel & Plastic Ind. Ltd., a manufacturing company incorporated in 1998, is seeking a motivated and technically inclined Graduate Trainee – IT to join their team in Onitsha, Anambra State. The successful candidate will support the IT department in maintaining computer systems, network infrastructure, printers, peripherals, and other IT equipment. This role is ideal for a young IT professional eager to build practical experience and grow within a structured manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
- Assist with installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Local Area Networks (LAN).
- Perform basic LAN wiring, cable termination, connectivity testing, and troubleshooting.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot printers, monitors, computers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
- Provide first-level technical support to staff and resolve hardware and software-related issues.
- Assist with installation and configuration of operating systems, applications, and computer peripherals.
- Monitor network connectivity and escalate complex network or system issues when necessary.
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance on computers and other IT equipment.
- Maintain proper records of IT assets, equipment repairs, installations, and technical issues.
- Assist in IT asset inventory and ensure proper handling and utilization of company IT equipment.
- Support users with basic software, email, printing, connectivity, and system-related issues.
- Assist with data backup, system updates, antivirus installation, and basic IT security practices.
- Support the implementation of IT policies and procedures across the organization.
- Provide technical assistance during meetings, training sessions, and other company activities when required.
- Assist with other IT projects and assignments as directed by the IT Department.
