About the role
PayZeep is seeking a Frontend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain user-facing web and mobile-responsive applications that deliver exceptional customer experiences across its digital products. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, high-performance interfaces that support PayZeep services while ensuring seamless integration with backend systems, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
The Frontend Engineer builds PayZeep's web and dashboard interfaces, delivering intuitive, performant, and secure user experiences. This is a full-time position based in Lagos, Nigeria, requiring 3–5 years of relevant experience, with fintech or regulated-environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain responsive, accessible web interfaces.
- Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, reusable frontend components.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs.
- Participate in code review, sprint planning and technical discussions.
- Optimize application performance and cross-browser compatibility.
- Implement frontend security best practices (input validation, XSS/CSRF protection).
- Monitor and improve application performance through profiling, optimization, and code refactoring.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve user interface issues and application bugs.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain coding standards across development teams.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with QA teams to develop automated and manual testing strategies.
- Ensure secure handling of customer and payment-related data across user interfaces.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization controls in collaboration with backend teams.
- Work closely with Product and Design teams to enhance user experience and customer engagement.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to frontend technology decisions.
