About the role
Tonic Technologies Limited is a FinTech startup founded in 2019, providing virtual and professional payment solutions and remittance services to a wide customer base across Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa. The company serves over 1.8 million users with products including wallets, gift cards, virtual dollar cards, bills, gadgets, and eSIM.
We are hiring a Frontend Engineer to build and maintain the web experiences our customers rely on daily, often on mid-range Android devices with limited network connectivity. This is a full-time, remote role for engineers based in Nigeria.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain three production web surfaces: the consumer web app (Next.js), the partner/B2B dashboard (Vite, React, TypeScript), and the internal admin dashboard (Vite, React, TypeScript).
- Turn Figma designs into clean React and TypeScript components.
- Optimize performance on slow connections and low-end devices.
- Work on critical flows including payments, wallet funding, withdrawals, KYC, and currency rates.
- Collaborate with backend engineers on API response design.
- Ship containerised apps to a Kubernetes cluster via Argo CD (Docker build and rollout).
- Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality with ESLint, Prettier, Husky, and conventional commits.
