About the role

The role focuses on implementing and maintaining security controls across the Bank's database environments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, and protecting sensitive data through encryption, masking, and other data protection mechanisms.

Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain security controls across the Bank's database environments.
- Monitor and review database access rights, privileged accounts, and user permissions.
- Conduct regular monitoring of database activities to identify potential threats or unauthorized activities.
- Coordinate database security assessments and support remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
- Support the implementation of encryption, masking, and other data protection mechanisms.
- Ensure database environments comply with regulatory requirements, security standards, and internal policies.
- Identify and assess database security risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Work closely with database administrators, infrastructure teams, application teams, and auditors on database security matters.
