The Chief Technology Officer will provide strategic and operational leadership for the organization's technology and digital transformation agenda, ensuring the availability, security, scalability and continuous improvement of technology infrastructure, core platforms and digital channels. The role leads the development of a secure, reliable and technology-enabled environment, leveraging digital channels, data and technology partnerships to improve customer experience, operational efficiency and business growth while maintaining compliance with regulatory and cybersecurity requirements.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the technology strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Lead the design and implementation of a scalable technology architecture.
- Advise the MD/CEO and Management on emerging technologies and digital trends.
- Establish technology standards, policies, governance frameworks and SLAs.
- Own the core banking platform including configuration, availability, performance, upgrades and integration.
- Lead design, implementation and improvement of mobile, web, USSD and other digital channels.
- Drive a seamless digital customer journey covering onboarding, transactions and payments.
- Monitor platform and channel performance and resolve system failures.
- Lead integrations with payment platforms, identity verification providers, credit bureaus and fintech partners.
- Evaluate technology vendors and manage contracts, SLAs and performance.
- Establish and maintain a robust information security framework.
- Ensure access controls, authentication, monitoring, vulnerability management and incident response.
- Lead identification, assessment and mitigation of technology and cybersecurity risks.
- Maintain alignment with CBN cybersecurity and technology risk requirements.
- Coordinate security assessments, penetration testing and remediation.
- Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery frameworks.
- Build and maintain data architecture and reporting infrastructure.
- Establish data governance, data quality and access controls.
- Ensure reliable day-to-day operation of IT infrastructure, systems and digital channels.
- Establish service desk, incident management and escalation processes.
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing technology team.
